Florence Ruttig

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Florence F. Ruttig, 86, passed away August 22, 2009.

Mrs. Ruttig was born in Jones Mills, PA and has resided in the Akron area since 1942, the past 36 years in Northampton. She had retired from Key Bank with 20 years of service and was a member of AARP of Northampton and Cuyahoga Falls, Daughters of America, Our Julia Chapter, Northampton Hill and Vale Garden Club, the Lunch Bunch at Woodridge High School, the Tuesday Card Club at Arby's on State Road and volunteered to help the elderly for the IRS during tax season. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls where she was active in the Altar Guild and Flower Committee.

Preceded in death by husband, Albert; sons, Daniel and Robert; and brother, Ray Eutsey; she is survived by her son, Kenneth (Deborah) of Wadsworth; daughter, Joan (Daniel) Brenkus of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter-in-law, Lynn Ruttig of Munroe Falls; grandchildren, Steven (Dianna), Joshua, Jennifer (Matt) Henderson, Nathaniel (Maria), Joel (Cheri), Kenneth, Jr., Laura, Benjamin, Krista (Norman) and Thomas and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 Fifth Street, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221 where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service, Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. In addition, friends may call from 11:00 am to Noon Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Glen Savage, 630 Church Rd., Glen Savage, PA, where a funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm Rev. Paul E. Yanke officiating. Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Glen Savage, PA. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in her memory.
