Floyd Charles Tschantz, 92, passed away August 31, 2005.
He was employed at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Harwick Standard Distribution Corporation and retired in 1976 with 25+ years service. He was a member of First Grace United Church of Christ where he taught Sunday school. He was an athlete at Central High School and a graduate from the University of Akron. He was fluent in 12 languages and tutored in languages and was a veteran of WWII having served with the U.S. Army.
Preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Hodgson) and William Tschantz; sisters, Buelah Hoover, Florence Hauff and Ethel Stanley; and brothers, Harold and Carl Tschantz; he is survived by sister, Grace (Tschantz) Hausch of Tallmadge; sister-in-law; Ruth (Tschantz) Sandelbach of Stow; 10 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. TONIGHT at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Robert Dreese officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be donated in Floyd's memory to First Grace United Church of Christ, 350 S.
