CUYAHOGA FALLS -Fraulein was born in Columbus, OH and grew up in Cuyahoga Falls where she graduated from CFHS in 1939. She married Robert, her husband of 50 years in 1940 and they settled down to raise their family in Cuyahoga Falls until 1976 when they retired to California. She returned to Ohio in 2003 where she resided first at the Rockynol senior living community in Akron and then at The Briarwood in Stow.
Fraulein was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother, and an avid golfer for over 30 years. She traveled extensively across the U. S. She loved taking photos and doing needlework. She was a strong supporter of animal welfare and gave a home to several beloved cats throughout her lifetime.
Fraulein is survived by her son, Robert Carter of Modesto, CA, her daughter, Pamela Carter-Wiley of Stow; her niece, Linda Bland of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; niece Sheila Davis of Naples, FL; granddaughter, Jennifer Wiley of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Suzanne Todd of Dayton, OH and two great-grandchildren.
No service is scheduled at this time. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333-6118 or to any charity promoting the wellbeing of animals. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
