CUYAHOGA FALLS Frederick (Fritz) Franklin Troxell, 80, passed away October 26, 2013. He was born in Altoona, PA where he played football for Altoona High School. He and his former wife, Dona moved from Altoona to Cuyahoga Falls where they resided for many years. Fred eventually moved to Jackson Township, spending the last 2 years in Canton. Fred served his country as a U.S. Marine before retiring from Ford Motor Co. after 44 years of service. He coached pee wee football for the Cuyahoga Falls Falcons taking a championship team to Florida winning the Snapper Bowl. Fred enjoyed his beloved camp, hunting, boating, golfing and most of all spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by brothers, Lamont, John, Robert and Richard; sisters, Vera Claire; He is survived by his children Terry (Mike) Kelley, Paul (Pam), Allison (Charles), Eric (Maryjo), Matthew (Julie); wife, Carol; children, Justin (Tatione) and Zach; step-children, Debi (Chris) Gengler, Sherry (Don) Williams, Lisa (Greg) Glover; 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister Lois Putt and Anna Miller.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Wednesday October 30 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday October 31.
