Gary Nagy

NEW FRANKLIN - Gary Paul Nagy, 65 passed away December 7, 2016.

Gary was born in Akron to Paul and Norma (Richert) Nagy. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1970 and later the University of Akron. He was a social worker with Summit County Children's Services and most recently Visiting Social Workers of Ohio. He enjoyed camping with his church friends and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. He was a member of St John/St. Paul Lutheran Church and later with Faith Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patti; sister, Patty (David) Tisch of Cuyahoga Falls and nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 12 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2726 West Market St, Akron, OH 44333, Pastor Rick Gordon officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. In view of Gary's fondness for animals, memorials may be made to a pet shelter or charity of your choice. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
