CUYAHOGA FALLS - George Cilo, 83, passed away June 18th, 2010.
Born in Akron, Mr. Cilo lived the last 20 years in Cuyahoga Falls. George graduated from Kenmore High School in 1945 and the University of Akron in 1951, with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. George worked for several companies before retiring with 30 years service at the Ford Motor Co.
Preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Blaney, Mr. Cilo is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Ruth; daughter Linda Burkey of Akron; son-in-law Wayne Blaney; grandchildren Laura (John) Shamblin, Kelly (Steve) King, Amber and Dakota Burkey; great grandchildren Noelle, Andrew, Noah, and Emma; sister Marge LaSalle; and sister-in-law- Elaine Penzenik.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22nd, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am, Mark Brazle officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
