George Kenneth Hartz, 83, died February 5, 2007. Mr. Hartz was born in Akron and had resided in the Cuyahoga Falls area most of his life. He was a teacher in the poleman school for Ohio Bell Telephone retiring as foreman with 36 years service and was a Veteran of WW2 having served with the U. S. Army. He was a member of Mt. Akra Lodge 680, Ohio Bell Foreman's Club and Telephone Pioneers of America.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Helen; daughter and son-in-law, Corrine and Edward Quay of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Michael and Brian Quay and Steven Hartz and great-grandchildren, Sean and Daniel Quay and brothers, Walter of Tucson, AZ and Roy (Mary) of Stow.
There will be no calling hours. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls by Mt. Akra Lodge 680. Final resting place Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
