George Kilbane

CUYAHOGA FALLS - George Kilbane, 82, passed away July 12, 2017. He was born in Cleveland and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 56 years. George was a 1955 graduate of East High School in Cleveland and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. George worked for Cole National, going on to work for Ohio Edison, retiring after 35 years of service.

Preceded in death by John and Anna Kilbane; he is survived by his wife, Norma of 56 years; John (Denise), Lori (Paul) Huntsman, Mark (Donna) and Michael (Jessica Kurasch); grandchildren, Nicole and Erica Huntsman, Summer and Mychal Kilbane; great-grandson, Easton Huntsman; sister, Donna (James) Krisher; brother, Edward (Rosalie) Kilbane and many nieces and nephews.

George was a devoted husband and father, always placing the needs of others ahead of his own, and always offering a helping hand, regardless of the situation. He was a friend to all who met him and enjoyed visiting with family, friends and neighbors, many of whom he met on his numerous walks with his dogs. He was an avid sports fan, especially those involving his children, grandchildren, and nephew, never missing an event. He also enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing with friends and family. George will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have been a part of his life.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Thursday July 20, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday July 21. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the Falls Cancer Club, 2253 3rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
