George Reed

George Thomas "Tom" Reed, 58, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Tuesday, July 11 at the Cleveland Clinic after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A lifetime are resident, he was born in Akron, OH on October 4, 1947. He was a 1965 graduate of Buchtel High School. He retired from Air Enterprises in 2005 after 25 years of service.
Tom was a member and past President of the Akron Turner Club.

He was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1968 after serving in Vietnam. He was a wonderful husband, an avid golfer, an incredible gardener, and loved by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lucille (Fogelsong) Michaels and father John Reed. He is survived by his loving Wife Marianne, Stepsons David W. (Joyce) Myers of Tallmadge, OH and Michael R. (Melisa) Myers of Dublin, OH, Brother David (Tammy) Reed of Greenville, GA, Grandchildren Victoria, Shannon, Ella, Alison and Drew Myers, Dylan, Tyler, and Kelsey Clites, Aunts Marie Baker and Gladys Etz.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday. Friends may also call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park where a Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
