Gerald Romesberg

Cuyahoga Falls - Gerald A. Romesberg, 69, passed away December 30, 2009. Mr. Romesberg was born in Wilson Creek, PA and had resided in Akron for the past 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Chrysler in Twinsburg after 33 years where he worked as a maintenance technician. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1959 where he was a 4 year varsity football player. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and adored his cat, Kitty.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane. He is survived by his Children Christine Marie (Neal) McClellan of Kenmore and Steve (Gail) Romesberg of Manchester; Grandchildren Jeremy Doss, Ashley Oshell, Brandon McClellan, Nathan Romesberg; Great-grandchildren Haylee Doss, Isaiha Reed and Sadie OShell; Sisters Patricia Holcomb of Goodyear Heights, Doris Glover of Akron and Linda Adams of N. Canton; Brother Bruce (Dorothy) Romesberg of Cuyahoga Falls sister-in-law Patricia Zupko and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6-8 on Sunday in the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a service will be held at 1 O'clock on Monday. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery immediately following the service Dr. Richard Hasler will be officiating. In Lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria VA 22312 and the Humane Society of Greater Akron 4094 Quick Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264.
