Gertrude Griggy

BROOKFIELD -Gertrude L. Griggy, 74, passed away at her residence January 15, 2011. Mrs. Griggy was born in Akron and had resided in Brookfield since 1998, moving there from Northampton Twp.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Jackson and great-grandson, Jason Wallis, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene L; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Donald Overholt of Stow; son and daughter-in-law, Gene Jr. and Amanda Griggy of Newbury; grandchildren, Donald III and Scott Overholt, April Wallis, Lisa Austin, Douglas Jackson and Aiden and Briana Griggy; 3 great-grandchildren and sisters, Roberta (Russ) Hercules of Cuyahoga Falls and Sandra Gunter of Maryland.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, Jan. 23 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, Jan. 24., Dr. Richard A.
