Grace Hilliard

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Grace A. Hilliard, 90, passed away March 23, 2009. Mrs. Hilliard was born in Akron and had resided in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls her entire life, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1936. She had worked for the Summit County Welfare Dept. from 1972 till 1980 and was a member of the Summit County Genealogical Society, the SCW Retirement Group and the Summit County Historical Society.

Preceded in death her husband, Ted; grandson, Mark Hood and sister, Lillian Andrews, she is survived by her daughters, Freddie R. Fegan of Pinellas Park, FL, Kriss (Ray) Cope of Stow, Gretchen R. (David) Ambrose of Kenmore; grandchildren, Jim Hood, Shane Goodwill, Kim (Ed) Plut, Tonya (Tom) Conner and Eric (Liela) Ambrose and 9 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Chris Patton officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to service time. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery.
