CUYAHOGA FALLS - Grover ("Cal/Pappy") Leasure, Sr., 84, passed away September 10, 2010 after a long, hard-fought illness.
Cal was a lifetime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, WWII veteran, retired from UAW 122.LM and past commander of both AL#281 and VFW #3294, also a member of 40&8, the Royal Canadian #322 and Cooties.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marge; grandson, Freddy; brothers, Bill, Jerry; sisters, Rosemary, Gay, and son-in-law, John. He is survived by his sister, Juanita; son, Cal Jr., daughters Sharon and Marcia Verespej; grandchildren, Laura, Christine (Chris), Ricky (Marcie), Johnny, Jason (Christina) and Jennifer (Ricky); 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and Cal's pal, Sammy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends of the Wednesday morning coffee.
Private family service with Military Honors from AL#281. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of other remembrances, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the American Legion Charles Faust Post #281, 1601 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
