Gwendolyn Knapp

Gwendolyn Ann (Johnson) Knapp was born August 19, 1952 and passed away on her 65th Birthday, August 19, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family. She was the oldest of three siblings.

Wendy worked for the United States Postal Service for twenty years and was an active and proud member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. She had one daughter, Lisa, with whom she was very close. Wendy married Frank Knapp on December 9th, 2004 and they went on to spend twelve happy years together. She had an incredible way of making those around her feel comfortable and could light up and bring laughter to every room she entered. She gave the best advice, love and support to everyone in her life. Wendy is now a guardian angel to many.

In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by her sister, Mary (Chris), brother, Ralph Jr. (Mary), granddaughters, Alex and Zoie, nieces Joanne and Amy and nephew Joe, as well as three great-granddaughters, two grandnieces and one grandnephew along with many caring friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marquhetta Johnson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sameer Mahesh, Tara with Summa Hospice and her friends at Stewarts caring place for giving Wendy the longest time possible with us.

Per Wendy's request cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
