CUYAHOGA FALLS - Harold Roger Brown, 85 passed away November 25, 2008. Mr. Brown was born in Akron, OH, was a 1941 graduate of North High School and served in the Army during WWII. He had resided most of his life in the Hudson, Silver Lake area and was the owner and president of Frank R. Brown & Sons, mason contractor, for over 50 years. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 1923 in Cuyahoga Falls where he had served two terms as Exalted Ruler, held all elected offices, was a Trustee and District Deputy. He also had served as president of the Mason Contractors Association and was a life member of the High Street Christian Church.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Winifred and brother, Don, he is survived by his wife and caregiver, Mary Lou; children, Janet Dugan of Tallmadge, Tom (Paula) Brown of Silver Lake, Sandy Swavely of Florida, Marilyn (Chuck) Trumbo of Akron and Barbara (Rick) Matvey of Stow; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson, and sister-in-law Winnie Brown.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Rev. Joseph Eubanks officiating. B.P.O.E. Lodge 1923 will conduct an Elks Service at 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Entombment Rose Hill Burial Park.
