CUYAHOGA FALLS - Harry E. Heath passed away August 11, 2017.
Harry was born in Berkeley, CA, moved to the Akron area and has lived in Cuyahoga Falls since 1950. He married Frances J. Clift in 1948 and together they raised 5 great kids. He worked as a tool and die maker for Gauer Mold, drove a limo for Classic Limo, was a greeter and car museum helper for Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, a member of The First United Methodist Church where he taught The Wesley Sunday School Class.
He served in the U.S. Army Airborne (Europe) in WWII and is a member of the American Legion. Harry was a blood donor (4 gallons), was manager and president of Little League, Pee Wee Football coach, Indian Guides chief, former president of the Oktoberfest Committee, worked the Chain Gang for Falls High football games, was Citizen of the Year in 2000, president of Good Neighbors and was a regular at the Natatorium.
Harry was preceded in death by his sister, Muriel Southwick and his wife, Frances. He is survived by sons, Casey (Donna) Heath of Chesterland, Kelly (Shari) Heath of Austin, TX; daughters, Rebecca Kenworthy of Maui, HI, Mandy (Terry) Ufholz of Akron, Abby Rutkai of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Taane Veine, Kelsey Ufholz, Haleigh Ufholz, Connor Rutkai, Miranda Rutkai, Keri Heath, Hunter Heath; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Nancy) Heath of Cuyahoga Falls.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19 at The First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service, Dr. David Baker officiating. Inurnment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
