CUYAHOGA FALLS - Harry "Keppy" C. Kephart, 98, died August 23, 2004. Mr. Kephart was born in Curwensville, PA and resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1925. He retired as a mechanic from Akron Transportation (Metro Transit Authority) in 1971 after 46 years of service and was past-president of Transportation Workers of America Local Union No. 1 in Akron, and a member of Machinist Local in Cleveland.
Preceded in death by wives, Evelyn and Ruby C.; sons, Dale and David Kephart; daughter, Jean Souers; step-daughters, Marion Sallaz and June Osterhout; and step-son, Carroll C. Sallaz; he is survived by daughter-in-law, Edith "Bobbie" Kephart of Akron; grandchildren, Richard, William and Bryan (Shirley) Kephart; great-grandchildren, Straton, Nichole, David and Rebecca Kephart; 4 great-great grandchildren; step-son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Pat Sallaz; step-son-in-law, Fred Osterhout; step-grandchildren, Carroll C. Sallaz, II, Robert (Charlotte) Sallaz, Bill (Sherri) Sallaz, Sherrie Sallaz; 3 step-great- grandchildren, 5 step-great great grandchildren; and very special companion, Jennie Kapity.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Charles Mills officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
