Hazel Griggs

STOW- Hazel E. Griggs (nee Harmon), 85, passed away September 3, 2013. Mrs. Griggs was born in Akron, raised in Cuyahoga Falls graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1946 and had resided in Stow since 1955.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J.; son, William E.; parents, Ephriam and Nancy Harmon; brothers, Harold and Charlie Harmon and sister, Luella Piersol, she is survived by her daughters, Theresa Howieson of Cuyahoga Falls and Nancy Griggs of Stow; sons and daughters-in-law, Dion and Judy Griggs of Stow and Del and Denise Griggs of Bath; grandchildren, Maurene (Mike) Witwer, Amy (Richard) Hutchinson, Bill Griggs, Kristen Griggs, James Griggs and Nicholas Griggs; great-grandchildren, Joey, Theresa, Katie, Andrew, Elizabeth and Alexander; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and June Harmon of Cuyahoga Falls and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, Sept. 14 in Oakwood Cemetery.
