AKRON - Heather Tarshis Knepper, 43, passed away suddenly on May 1, 2016. She was born in Suffern, NY and resided in Akron for the past 27 years. Heather graduated from Firestone High School in 1991, going on to graduate from the University of Akron with a BS in nursing. She worked in the burn unit at Akron Children's Hospital and currently worked at the Funny Stop Comedy Club and also Semler Hotel Company.
Preceded in death her grandfather, Bernard Tarshis who she cared for lovingly before he died; and grandparents, June and Earl Mosier; she is survived by her children, Christopher Knepper, Nathan, Noah and Caitlyn Holmes; mother; Sharon (Jeff) Alexander, father, Henry (Evelyn) Tarshis; sisters, Debi (Greg) Mead, Melanie Tarshis, Ariel Tarshis and Aimee Schaefer; brother, Joseph (Hilary) Alexander; niece, Alexandra Schaefer; grandmother, Rita Tarshis and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial calling will be held two hours prior to a 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday May 7, 2016 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
