Helen Marie Lafeber, 88, passed away July 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Akron, Ohio, September 27, 1935 to Alphonso and Josephine Magazeni.

Growing up on North Hill, Helen graduated from North High School. She retired from Roadway Express as a Tape Librarian after many years of service.

Helen met her husband, Ray, in Chicago, IL upon his return from the Korean War. They were married September 9, 1955 celebrating 66 years together. 

They raised their family in Cuyahoga Falls.

She will always be remembered for her kind, loving heart, generosity, and devotion to family and friends. She was always there to help in any way and touched so many lives. Helen enjoyed reading, game shows, bingo, shopping and family gatherings. She loved to spoil her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. 

Helen enjoyed having breakfast at Farmer Boy with her husband and family where she befriended many people.

She always looked beautiful in her matching outfits from head to toe. Helen will be missed by her loving family, friends, and special dog, Macy.

She is preceded in death by husband, Ray; sister, Emma (Ed) Krstulovich; brothers, Arthur (Ann) Magazeni, Albert (Barb) Magazzeni; nephews, Daniel Magazzeni, Edward and Jim Krstulovich.

She will be missed by children, Nanette (Rick) Knotts, Carol (Greg) Weimer; grandchildren, Kelli (Drew) Slater, Kristin (Brandon) Bowers, Mallori Pedone, Megan Ball (Joe Lattur), Stacy and Mike Weimer; great-grandchildren, Parker Griffin, Avery and Addison Slater and Briana Bowers; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Private burial at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Special thank you to Summa Hospice for their care and kindness. 

Donations can be made to the American Lung Association, St. Jude Hospital and American Heart Association.
