Helen Lawhead

JACKSONVILLE, NC – Helen Robinson Lawhead, 94, of Jacksonville, NC passed away in her home on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was born December 6, 1926 in Summerfield, OH to Charles & Hannah Robinson.
She lived her life loving and raising her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, and being married for 58 years to George Lawhead, who preceded her in death on October 2, 2000. She spent the first 77 years of her life in Northeast Ohio, and the last 17 years in North Carolina.

Helen loved playing cards, dominos, bowling and watching & talking sports (especially the Cavs, Browns, Indians & The Ohio State Buckeyes). She worked in the Cuyahoga Falls School System in various capacities at numerous elementary and junior high schools spanning multiple decades. The light of her life, other than being married to George, was her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Phyllis Allison, as well as her husband, George. She is survived by her (3) children, Jeff (Frend John Miner) of Ft. Morgan, CO., Diane Holder of Jacksonville, NC, and Brian (Diane) of Northfield, OH.; her (5) grandchildren, Michael Lawhead (Patty) of Aliso Viejo, CA., Matthew Lawhead (Sharone Tomer) of Blacksburg, VA., Michelle Mueller (Chris) of Jacksonville, NC., Chris Holder (Brian Martin) of Wake Forest, NC., and Eric Lawhead (Melissa) of Plainfield, IL. and her (7) great-grandchildren: Everett Lawhead, Mira & Zoe Tomer-Lawhead, Jacob, William & Hannah Mueller and Rhett Lawhead.

Per Helen's wishes, a private family only burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
