Henry Nagel

Henry Nagel, longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 92.  Henry was born in Nagyszekely, Hungary.  He and his parents, the late Peter and Katharina (Kiltau) Nagel, immigrated to the United States in 1949. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife Marie (Huber) Nagel, second wife Elizabeth (Schneider) Nagel and his brother Peter Nagel.

Henry was retired from Ansco Machine Company.  He was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ for many years and recently attended Northampton United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of both the German American Club and the Polish Club.  He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the Civic Theatre and E.J. Thomas Hall.  Henry loved spending time with his family, polka dancing, walking at the Nat and a good sausage sandwich.

Henry will be dearly missed by his children; Katherine (Richard) Robison, Henry (Kathy) Nagel, Andrew Nagel and James (Rickilynn) Nagel, grandchildren; Sarah (Jim) Darnell, Eric and Ben Robison, Emily (Jamie) Wiggins, Melissa (Adam) Stone, Abbey Nagel (Bob Fisher, Bob & Nathan), Austin and Lauren Nagel and great-grandchildren; Ella, Adalynn, Gavin, Brantley and Grayson.

Guests are welcome for visitation on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10-11 am with the funeral service immediately following at 11 am at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls.  He will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
