CUYAHOGA FALLS -Henry Richard Rockhold, 83, passed away peacefully July 23, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born in Reedsville, OH, he had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 60 years. He was the former owner of the French Coffee Shop from 1972 until 1984, had also worked for Goodyear and Prospect Mold and Die and was a veteran of the Korean War receiving 2 bronze medals while serving in the Army.
Preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Rockhold and sister, Wanda Kines, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy; children, Dennis (Kathy) Rockhold, Debbie (Ray) Garner, and Sue (David) Dunbar; grandchildren, Dennis Jr., Chuck and Kim, Tony, Matt and Alisen, Greg and Valerie, Jessica, Dawn and Tim, Russel and Dawn, Kevin and Lisa, Karen and Scott, Joe and Cori, Dayna and Nancy; 13great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Wilma Hagerman of Mogadore, Janet Shields of Tuppers Plains, OH, Polly Shields of Medina, Dale Rockhold and Keith Rockhold, both of Reedsville and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, July 27 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Sat. July 28, Deacon Deshawn Ray officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. A Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147..
