CUYAHOGA FALLS – James E. Fraley “Duke” passed away September 30, 2018. He was a Cuyahoga Falls native, went to Falls High School, and joined the Army at age 17 to serve his country with pride.
He worked as a roofer for Bob McQuillen’s crew. He shot fireworks for American Fireworks along side his dad “Bud” and sons Shane and Travis. He was a master cement finisher for Concrete Solutions.
He was preceded in death by his sons Shane, parents Lawrence “Bud”, Vada Irene, sister Lucia and brother Karl “Bean”. Duke had a love for fishing, gardening, and chopping wood for his fire pit. “You get warm twice, once when you chop and once when you burn.” A simply good man.
Those of us left to carry on are his wife, Theresa of 48 years; son Travis (Nicole); grandchildren Brieanna, Giavanna, Arianna, Drew and great-grandson Kai; sisters Linda and Diane “Dice”, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and sweet dog Tuco.
We would like to thank Dr. Linda Irvine, Dr. Manson, and especially Western Reserve Hospital of Cuyahoga Falls, from the radiology department, to the ER for their absolute kindness, caring and gentleness for Dukes care.
