CUYAHOGA FALLS -James Howard Goodwin, Sr., 67, passed away at his residence August 20, 2005 after a 14 month courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Goodwin was born in Akron and was an area resident his entire life, residing in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He was self-employed at the Jim Goodwin Dental Lab, had served with the U. S. Army, was a very giving person and had received the City of Cuyahoga Falls Beautification Award twice for his yard work.
He is survived by his wife of 48 1/2 years, Karen A.; children, Vickie S. Knight of Cuyahoga Falls, Norma Jean (Curtis) Hendershot of Green, James H. Goodwin Jr. and Pamela Ann Goodwin, both of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, twins, Andrew R. and Amanda R. Penn, Nicole Lynn and Brandon Lee Michalak, Jeremy and Jacob Hendershot, Eric, Ashley, Jacob and Cayla Elizabeth Goodwin; sister, Ruth (Milton) Butler of Munroe Falls and brothers, John Goodwin of Akron and Jerry (Linda) Goodwin of Cuyahoga Falls.

Mark Steiner officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. A Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
