CUYAHOGA FALLS - James E. Housley. 81 went to his heavenly home at 11:15 p.m. August 4, 2006 at Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road. He will be missed by so many family and friends, having never met a stranger.
Jim was born September 28, 1924 in Randolph, Ohio. He moved at a young age to a muck farm in Stow Ohio. Most of Jim's years were lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He retired after 30 years of service from Alside as a painter and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Leidigh and Edna Housley; daughter Nancy Ann Housley Williams: infant grandson, Jimmy; brothers, Roger (Norma) Grant and Fred (Mildred) Housley; sister Ruth (Ken) Whittington; in-laws Clarence and Imogene Hanna and several nieces and nephews. Left to cherish Jim's memory is his wife of 54 years, Marjorie; sons, Michael (Bonnie) Housley of Cuyahoga Falls and David (Kris) Housley of Norton; grandchildren, Elaine (Matthew) Searer, Jennifer (Justin) Collier, Jamie Housley, Matthew Housley, Angel Housley, Tony Housley and Bryanna Housley; great-grandchildren, Billy Searer, Johnny Searer, Jillian Collier and Jimmy Collier; sisters Margaret Shaver and Anne Smith and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thank-you to the P.C. Unit at Akron General Medical Center and all who cared for Jim at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road and for the wonderful care he received there.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20th at Trinity United Methodist Church, 755 Howe Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. He will be eulogized by Pastor Rick Colelli and Pastor Anita R. Mcgee will be officiating. There will be a time for his friends to express their reflections and thoughts during the service.
