CUYAHOGA FALLS - James Lewis Killian, Jr, 91 passed away October 16, 2015.
Jim was born in Salem, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University in 1948 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the US Army during WWII in the 12th Armored Division. He retired from the B. F. Goodrich Company with more than 35 years of service in 1986. He loved his family and Auburn Tigers football, and played golf for many years in a group of eight close friends.
Preceded in death by his wife of over 65 years Annelle, he is survived by his daughter, Jo Annelle (Robert Johnson) Killian of Columbus; sons, James Lewis (Karen) Killian III of Opelika, AL and David Waller (Kathy) Killian of Norton; grandchildren, Sarah Waltz (Sean) DeMass of Akron and Benjamin Lewis Killian of Stow; great granddaughters Madeline Claire and Greta Beatrix DeMass of Akron; brother Albert (Nancy) Killian of Opelika, AL; his friend and brother-in-law Joe Williamson of Auburn, AL, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls one hour prior to a 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service on Thursday, October 22nd, Pastor David McGrath officiating. His cremains will be interred in Salem, Al. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to NAMI, 4500 E. Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213.
