CUYAHOGA FALLS - James A. Loftus, 81, passed away October 19, 2016. He was a life-long Cuyahoga Falls resident. James graduated from Falls High and attended Kent State. He was the owner/operator of Wyoga Lake Park, care taker of Crown Hill Memorial Park (Twinsburg), J.A. Loftus and Sons Construction and retired from the Board of Mental Retardation (Weaver School). James enjoyed open wheeled racing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Mary (nee Ginther); brother, William; sisters, Mary Ann and Barbara; he is survived by his loving wife, Lynn of 58 years; children, Louis, James A. and Jessica (Duane) Rex; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Lugosi and Dorothy (Jim) Ransweiler and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rahul Khandekar.
Cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM on Saturday October 29, 2016 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St,. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Summit County Children's Services 264 S. Arlington Rd. Akron, OH, 44306. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
