James Ott

CUYAHOGA FALLS - James "Jimmy" Ott, 77, passed away June 27, 2018.

He resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life and wintered in Bonita Springs, FL in his later years. Jimmy was a 1960 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Sylvia's Restaurant and retired from the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home. Jimmy was an avid golfer, bowler and loved classic cars.

Preceded in death by his brother, Howard Jr.; and sister, Gerry Lynn Johnston, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nora; children, Dan Kent and Tammy Gilmore; stepchildren, Amy (Bobby) Hotchkiss and William (Jeanine) Bye Jr.; 4 grandchildren; brother, William; sister, Adelyn (Mark) Thomas; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Oreo
