PENINSULA- James C. Pierce, 62, passed away suddenly October 4, 2011. He was born in Akron, graduated from Woodridge High School in 1966 and resided in Peninsula for the past 52 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Betty (nee Grabham) and Clyde Pierce. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janene Pierce (nee Balk) and daughter Christine Pierce. Jim was owner and operator of Grabham's Candies and a top confectioner chef of 43 years.
He enjoyed the outdoors, family and his many hobbies. He was a member of the local 1960's band, "The Panicks" and a member of the Anna Maria Island Moose Lodge.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Sunday Oct. 9th at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh, 44221 and 1 hour prior to an 11 O'clock funeral service on Monday Oct. 10th at St. Luke's Lutheran Church 2121 6th St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Pastor Bob Linsz will be officiating, interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
