James (Jim) C. Spahn, 72, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away April 2, 2022. He was born on July 14, 1949 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Margaret (Finney) Spahn. He grew up as a mischievous child in Niles, Ohio and told the best childhood stories. He took great pride in being a previous Reconnaissance Marine but an unfortunate accident left Mr. Spahn with the loss of his left hand, halting his much loved military career. Mr. Spahn was previously employed at Rotek, and a manager at Falls Stamping and Welding, and Ohio Cast Products. A passion of his was fishing, especially with his father and then later his son. He was a die-hard Brown’s fan and relished his memories of being in the dawg pound. He enjoyed his music immensely and was a great lover of musicals of both theatre and movies. He was an enthusiastic puzzle solver and immersive reader, often reading a book in a day or two. His true happiness was spending time with family, especially his grandson Quintin, with whom he shared a special bond.
Jim was preceded in death by and is joyfully reunited with his daughter, Kelly Spahn; his parents, Thomas and Margaret Spahn; brother, Thomas Spahn and sister, Maggie Bole.
Surviving are children, Dr. Christin Spahn (husband Richard Ray), James (Zach) Spahn (wife Kimberly Diehl-Spahn); his grandson, Quintin; wife, Sharon Rozko, and her children JR and Amy Rozko (their children, Aubrey, Junia, and Aidan) and Alex and Michelle Rozko (their children, River and Ruby) whom he adored; brother Robert Spahn (wife Vali Spahn), and sister Kathy Valentz Miller.
