James "Bob" Smyth

CUYAHOGA FALLS – James Robert “Bob” Smyth, 96, passed away January 2, 2022. He was born in Connellsville, PA to the late James Raymond and Leona Smyth and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 52 years. He was a WWII veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army going on to retire from the Atlantic Richfield Co. (Arco) after 27 years of service. He was a member of B.P.O.E. #923, The Falls Moose, The VFW Post 1062 and the Italian American Club. He loved all sports especially bowling and golfing.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Bruce and Doris Ennemoser; and longtime companion, Linda Copley. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Julie) and Todd; grandchildren, Renee (Josh), Lauren, Adam and Heather; 3 greatgrandchildren; brother, William (Eileen); and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial calling will be held from 4-6 PM on Thursday January 6, 2022 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, 1357 Home Ave #1, Akron, OH 44310. Funeral Services have been entrusted to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.
