Janet Reaves

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Janet Louise Reaves, 70, passed away August 15, 2016. She was born in Akron, Ohio and resided in Cuyahoga Falls until she moved to Warwick, Rhode Island.

Janet was a graduate of Ellet High School and a member of The Chapel in Akron until her permanent move to Rhode Island in 2006. While enjoying her retirement in Rhode Island she became accustomed to dinners by the ocean and trips to Acadia National Park in Maine and ferry trips to Block Island. While in the northeast Janet never forgot about her beloved state of Ohio, and her Midwestern values of kindness, warmth, gratitude, and friendliness.

Janet was preceded in death by her Father William Henry, Mother, Mabel Almeda, and brother Gene Rupe. She is survived by daughter Kerri Alana, sons David Christopher and Sean Michael and his partner Andrew Gutmann, sister Judith Moore and husband Donald Moore. Her nephew Larry William Hysell and wife Leslie and niece Kirston Moore. She also leaves behind Patty Hysell and great niece and nephew Danielle Elizabeth, Scott Joseph Hysell, and his daughter Aria. With special regard to her favorite lap pug, Gizmo.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304.
