CUYAHOGA FALLS - Janet M. Smith, 78, passed away March 11, 2007.
Born in Lost Creek, West Virginia, Mrs. Smith has lived in Cuyahoga Falls since 1952.She was a music lover, an avid reader, an advocate for world peace and quite possibly the best Grandmother in the world.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Robert G.; daughters, Teresa (Jacob) Cook of Silver Lake, and Robin (Pat) Crahan of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Byerly, Ryan Calderhead, Leslie Cook, Tyler Crahan, Devon Crahan, and Abby Crahan; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Kate Byerly.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at the First Congregational Church, 292 E. Market St., Akron on Tuesday March 13th, at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Jay Groat officiating. Graveside Services will be held at the Old Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV, on Saturday March 24th at 2:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at Huttonsville Valley Chapel. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, PO Box 163549, Columbus, OH 43216-3549.
