Jean Stroup

Jean Kathleen Stroup, 87, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on February 1, 2016. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended Kent State University. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Jack and sister Marion. She is survived by children Kerry (Melissa) Stroup of Grandview Heights, Kristen (Greg) Jones of Cuyahoga Falls, Tom (Barbara) Stroup of Marietta, Georgia, and Jody Stroup of Ashland; nine grandchildren (Joel, Jamie, Jocelyn, Hailey, Scott, Michael, Suzanne, Lydia, and Satch); four great-grandchildren (Summer, Avery, Cameron, and Tristan); as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Her transcendent spirit sustains them all.

Jean devoted her life to her family, evincing the everyday expressions of her loving heart: nurturance, humor, generosity and wisdom.

Private services at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park will be conducted at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or to Upper Arlington Special Olympics, www.ua-so.
