CUYAHOGA FALLS- Jeffrey H. Cochran, 70, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
A native of Anderson, Indiana, Jeffrey was an avid Boy Scout, Eagle Scout, and later wilderness survival counselor at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He later attended Indiana University where he was active in Greek life as a member of Delta Upsilon. In 1976, he graduated from the IU Kelley School of Business. Years later, he met the love of his life, Mary, and in 1987 they were married at the Beck Chappel on IU campus. Together, they had one daughter: Alexandra. He proudly worked for over 25 years as an accountant at Bridgestone/Firestone in Warren County, Tennessee and Akron, Ohio.
His main passions in life were his family, friends, and caring for others. He firmly believed that a stranger was just a friend you just hadn’t met yet. He enjoyed spending his time playing golf, watching basketball and football, baking, reading, spending time with his pets, and enjoying nature. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (née Luichinger), parents, Keith and D’Alice (née Coburn), and his brother, George Cochran.
Jeff will be missed by his daughter Alexandra, his sister Carolyn (John), sister-in-law Ann, nieces Ann, Sarah, Kayla, Kathleen, and Kristin (Stephen), nephews Kyle (Molly), Erich (Rene), Scott, Greg (Caitlin), and Ryan (Katie), and many more.
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made in the form of donations to the National Park Foundation, PANCAN, or your local Humane Society.
