Jeffrey Lynn Guerin Sr.

Jeffrey Lynn Guerin Sr., 70, of Hudson, Ohio, passed away on November 3, 2024, after a long and brave battle with cancer.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Robert and Arlene Guerin, Jeff graduated from Mayfield High School in 1972 and later attended Ohio University. He spent most of his life in the Cleveland area, with the past 38 years in Hudson, where he raised his family and established deep roots in the community. As the owner and operator of PT Plus LLC in Willoughby, Ohio, Jeff was dedicated to his work, building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Jeff was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 47 years, Teri, and a loving father to his three children: Christin Denise (Dean) Hawkins, Jeffrey Lynn Jr. (Maria Roe), and Brian Devin (Cara) Guerin. His greatest joy was being involved in the lives of his children, especially coaching them in basketball, football, and baseball. He was a constant presence at his children’s, and later his grandchildren’s games, cheering them on with the same energy and passion he put into everything he did.

His love of sports extended to his friends, with whom he enjoyed countless rounds of golf, many of them with the same group of high school buddies whom he considered brothers. Whether on the field, the golf course, or around the dinner table, Jeff had an uncanny ability to make every moment feel special.

Above all, Jeff’s sense of humor was legendary. He could turn any situation into a moment of laughter, and no one was better at telling stories that left everyone in stitches. His quick wit and endless supply of “dad jokes” brought joy to everyone around him, especially his grandchildren. They adored him for his playful teasing and fun-loving spirit, which will live on in their hearts forever.

A man of strong faith, Jeff was a devout Christian and attended Christ Community Chapel. His faith was the cornerstone of his life. His favorite Bible verse, Jude 1:2: “May you be given more and more of God’s kindness, peace, and love”, appeared on his family correspondences and birthday cards. He prayed this verse, often, for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Arlene, and his brother, Robert Jr., Jeff was preceded in death by several dear friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Teri; his children, Christin Denise Hawkins (Dean), Jeffrey Lynn Jr. (Maria Roe) Guerin, and Brian Devin Guerin (Cara); his cherished grandchildren, Brennen, Maiya, Molly, Tessa, Hudson, Aubrey and Jacori; his sister-in-law, Cyndee Guerin; brother-in-law, Tom Wood (Carol); nieces Chelsey, Alisha, and Courtney; and nephews Casey and Joel.

A memorial service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at Christ Community Chapel, 750 West Streetsboro Rd, Hudson, OH 44236. Date and time will be 11/16/24 at 12 Noon. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and memories of a man who touched so many lives. Jeff’s love, humor, and faith will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeff's honor to Christ Community Chapel, Missions, 750 W Streetsboro Rd, Hudson, Oh, 44236. https://app.securegive.com/CCChapel
