STOW - Jerry Edward Grimm came into this world on August 22, 1937 to Clarence and Nellie Grimm. He was a much-loved child who returned that devotion tenfold. From his early days on to his last, he was passionate about anything that could take a checkered flag, partaking in drag racing, off-road motorcycle, off-road buggies and Legend cars. This passion was only surpassed by that for his family, of which he truly devoted his life.
He leaves behind his daughter, Heidi Smith and sons, John (Cathy), Joshua (Jan) and Daniel, as also his grandchildren, Christopher (Britny), Jeremy and Nathan (Isis), John Jr., Brooke, Zachary (Chantal) and Morgan, Jasmine and Grace, as well his great-grandkids, Lenorah and David, Nathan Jr. and Jennavieve. He was endeared to Linda Grimm-Kovach for being the mother of these greatest blessings in his life. He also leaves his wife, Cheryl, who wishes more than anything to take him, just one more time, to Mexico, the hills of West Virginia, or to the Honey Pot Hut ice cream.
Jerry has many, many friends in the automotive industry, having worked in it the majority of his life, starting at Ray Thomas with his father and then opening up the Alinement Shop with him. His legacy of honest workmanship lives on through his son, John.
Jerry was a good man, a generous man, a just man. A man incredibly devoted to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and to his wife. A man who needs no obituary to confirm this to anyone who knew him. A man who will forever be remembered with fondness, a smile, and the knowing that you mattered to him.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be having private services. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest.
