John Bissler

John Edward Bissler, age 77, a 30-year resident of Wooster, Ohio, died February 7, 2016. He was born in Kent, OH, and previously resided in Cuyahoga Falls for nearly 25 years. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of the UAW Local 420. John was a 32nd degree member of the A.A.S.R. Valley of Akron and Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Lodge 735.

He married Lavina (Thomas) in 1984, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by first wife, Betty L., step sons, Andrew V. Bissler and James Bissler; his parents, Mary L. (Scamahorn) and Ernest Bissler; and a brother William Bissler. He is survived by sisters, Edna (Donald) Williams, Juanita (Luis) Weygandt, Sue (Pat) Wallis, brother, Gary (Claudia) Bissler, sister-in-law, Mary Bissler, and many nieces and nephews.

Masonic services will be held Thursday 11am, February 11, 2016, in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Friends may call one hour before the services. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd., Peninsula, Ohio.

In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Lifecare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691, or Shriners Hospital for Children, 1000 E. Edgerton Rd., Broadview Hts., OH, 44147. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
