CUYAHOGA FALLS - John (Jack) David Cardille passed away on October 4, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was our much beloved husband, father, grandfather, papa, brother, uncle, and friend to all. Jack was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, on July 20, 1935. He was a proud marine and married the love of his life, Sandy, on July 9, 1955. They moved to Cuyahoga Falls to raise their 4 children. He became an educator with the Tallmadge High School for 34 years, earning a master's degree at Kent State, and then became the human resource director for SGS Tool Company. He loved reading books, dancing the jitterbug, and visits to the casino with friends and family. He attended St. Joseph's mass every day, enjoyed meeting with friends at the Natatorium, and loved being on his porch to welcome any and all who stopped to visit with family and friends. Jack loved his family and friends immensely and instilled in each of them the true meaning of family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Gallagher) Cardille; sisters, Jean Wilson and Rose Ursta; and brothers, William Cardille and Steve Cardille. He is survived by his 4 children: daughter, Traci (Kevin) Lancy; son, Mark (Kim) Cardille; son, Shawn (Mary) Cardille; daughter, Kelli (Mark) Moles; and daughter-in-law, Sandy (Mike) Moran. He leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Tom Cardille, Edward Cardille, Barbara Burdette, and Patricia Porter.
"Papa Jack" will be remembered dearly by his grandchildren: Joshua (Michelle) Lancy, Kaitlyn (Steve) Morr, Kelsey (Danny) McCoy, Lyndsie (Tony) Secreto, Sarah (Kevin) McDonnell, Kyle (Sarah) Moles, Taylor (Nick) Walker, Luke (Lexi) Cardille, and Colin (Emily) Cardille. Many stories will be told about what a good man he was to his great-grand-children: Jack, Addison, Kellen, Kaden, Scarlett, Connor, Eleanor, Brady, Corrine, Zachary, Jayce, Aislee, and Kyler.
Special thanks to Cathy Jones and the hospice team of Traditions Health Care.
If you ever had the pleasure of knowing Jack, please remember him with a smile. He will be in our hearts forever.
