John Hensley

TALLMADGE - John J. Hensley, 83 passed away March 4, 2007 in Naples, Florida.

Mr. Hensley was born in Harold, West Virginia and was a long time resident of Tallmadge, Ohio. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he worked in inventory control. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple where he worked in the control room for television and radio broadcasts for 40 years.
He is survived by his special friend, Jean Lowther of Ellet; son, John R. Hensley of Cuyahoga Falls; granddaughter, Taina Nagle; great-grandchildren, Bryanna Kay Hensley, Savannah Mae Nagle and Kayla Rae Nagle and sisters, Leigh Hanscom and Verelene Jarvis, both of Akron.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park. The family request memorials to the Akron Baptist Temple, 2324 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44314 in his memory.
