John Bryan
John S. Bryan passed away April 23, 2009.
Born July 8, 1941 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, PA., Mr. Bryan lived the last 46 years in Akron. He graduated from Kensington High in Pennsylvania, was a veteran of the Army, 168th Signal Co., and had worked for Malco. He was a great Little League player and could pitch and bat with either hand. He was honest, humble, loved watching TV, playing video games, fishing and motorcycle riding.
Preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joy, John is survived by his son John W. of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter Kimberly (Clarence "Bub") Ayers of Louisville, KY; sister Carol Bryan of New Kensington; brother-in-law Fred (Mary) Como; nephews Fred and Anthony (Heather) Como; and niece Lisa C. (Chad) Williams; and numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 27th, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls at 1:00 pm, Rev. Kirk Bruce officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406 or to Relay for Life, c/o Munroe Elementary, 230 N. Munroe, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
