John Ralph Seymour

John Ralph Seymour, 77, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. He was raised in Cuyahoga Falls graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School. John followed his father’s footsteps and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He earned a BS of mechanical engineering from the University of Akron. John began his career with General Tire providing him and his young family many opportunities to travel the world, including assignments in Tanzania and India. He was blessed with a green thumb with a particular affinity for Palms and Ferns. John was very active with Bethany United Church of Christ often an usher and always willing to assist with the church’s needs at a moment’s notice. 

 Preceded in death by his parents, James and Esther and wife of 44 years Mary Elizabeth. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Jonathan (Catherine) and Michael Jeffrey (Kristy); grandchildren, Amanda Alicia, Anthony Mason, Hayden Michael and Robin; brothers, Jim and Bob.

 Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday January 31, 2025 at Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
