Joseph Albert House Sr.

Cuyahoga Falls- Joseph A. House Sr., 89, went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2022. Joseph was born on July 12, 1932, to the late Joseph G. and Ruth House.  Joseph served as principal of Redeemer Lutheran School for 31 years. He was also a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Joseph was involved in many civic organizations and committees. He was a past member of the City of Cuyahoga Falls Planning Commission and was named citizen of the year in 2008. For 25 years Joseph volunteered at Western Reserve Hospital. Joseph also served for 29 year on the executive board of Mohican School in the Out of Doors.

Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Marie Louise House.

He will be missed by his children, M. Katherine Hodge, Richenda (Norman) Davis, Joseph (Roselyn) House Jr., Steven (Louise) House; grandchildren, Tara, David, Asa, Sara, Martin, Brandi, Daulton, and Cassandra; 7 great grandchildren; and will be missed by a host of friends, former students, church friends, and family.

Per Joseph’s wishes cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 5th St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Friends may call at the church two hours before the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home.
