Joseph III

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Joseph (Joey) John Kilbel III lost his battle with the demons of drug addiction on Sunday, August 2nd, passing away unexpectedly at home. Joey was a 1999 graduate of Woodridge High School and had worked most of his life as a landscaper. Joey enjoyed talking to everyone and could carry on a conversation with anyone he met; he was everyone's friend. He always made people feel important when talking with them and was happy with the successes of others. He was a hard worker and never shied away from manual labor, always offering to help friends and family who would rarely keep up with him. He was a charismatic person and would light up a room with his smile.

Joey was met in Heaven by his grandparents, Chuck and Betty Long and Joe Kilbel Sr. Also waiting for his arrival were Uncles Mike Kilbel and Tom Long. He will live on in the memory and hearts of his son Jayden (Sophia Capeles) and daughter Peyton (Lauren Leaver), his parents Joe and Virginia Kilbel, and brothers Charlie (Lisa) and Willie (Whitney). Also, left behind to cherish memories is his grandmother Wanda Kilbel, his aunts Kathy Long (Jack Neuman), Kathye (Mike) Coffey, Karen (Jeff) Freeman, and his Uncle Marty (April Dinkins) Kilbel. Cousins Kim Kotrlik, Keighty (Steve) Schuetz, Scott (Allie) and Christopher Freeman, Mike (Brandi) and Kevin (Amanda) Kilbel, Karl Wallace and Little Joe, and numerous friends also remain to treasure many memories of Joey. The family would like to thank Anthony King, Summit County, for his personal approach to one of the numbers that came across his desk within the court system.

Calling hours for Joey are from 11am until 1 pm on Friday August 7th at Northampton United Methodist Church, 852 W. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh, 44223. A service to celebrate Joey's life will immediately follow. Memorials may be made to his family. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
