Joseph Piascik

Joseph A. Piascik, 80, died April 26, 2005. Mr. Piascik was born in Cleveland and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 55 years. He had been a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways, was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a WWII Navy Veteran serving aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Essex in the Pacific Theater.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loretta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Shirley of Sagamore Hills and Robert and Janice of Naples, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:00 am Friday. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
