Joseph L. Stoops Jr

Joseph Lee Stoops Jr. age 69, passed away Wednesday March 12, 2025 at his home in Cuyahoga Falls with his loving wife of 48 years and daughters by his side. He was born August 24th, 1955 in Columbus Ohio, to the late Joseph Lee Stoops Sr. and Alyce Gertrude (Oden) Stoops.

He graduated from Medina High School in 1973 and went on to attend the University of Akron. He later earned his degree in Presicion Machining/ CNC from The Akron Machining Institute.

Joe was an avid reader of Westerns and Legal Thrillers. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Falls Travel Club. He loved playing cards with friends and was a member of the Falls Senior Euchre Club. You could find him watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Nascar races on the weekend.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Kathy S. (Tokes) Stoops, daughters Jennifer and Julianne, and sister Alyce L. Stoops. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends including the Fleming family, and his beloved rescue dog "Charlie."

The family would like to express special thanks to Joe's nurse, Erica and the rest of the staff of Summa Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A short funeral service will begin at 6 pm, immediately following visitation.
