Josephine Cunningham

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Josephine Marie Cunningham, 86, passed away October 16, 2018.

She was born in Johnstown, PA and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 50 years. Josephine and Gerald were married on St. Valentin's at St. Rochus Church in Johnstown, PA. She was a member of Annunciation and Christ the King and St. Joseph Church. "Feeny" enjoyed hunting, fishing and softball as a child. Josephine traveled many parts of the country camping with her family. Halloween was her favorite holiday. She loved westerns, John Wayne and horror movies. Around age 50 she learned to play a tamburitza and joined a Croation music group called Hrvatski Prijatelji. They traveled around the Midwest and played for 20 years. She was a member of CFU Lodge #5 in Johnstown, PA and also CFU Lodge #472 in Akron, OH.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Mildred Rozich; husband, Gerald; son, Thomas E.; brothers, John, Steve, Mark and George Rozich; and granddaughter, Kim Stalnaker; she is survived by her sons, Jerry (Jeannine) and Bruce; grandsons, Ron (Angela) and Dave Stalnaker; great-grandson, Mason Stalnaker; siblings, Dorothy Smolar, Bob (Linda) Rozich, James (Eileen) Rozich, Joe (Judy) Rozich, Coletta Rozich and Frank (Charlotte) Rozich; many nieces and nephews; and special grandchildren, Ben, Heather, Holly and Lily Sergeant.

Memorial calling will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday December 1, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon the same day at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1761 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Josephs or a charity of your choice. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
