SILVER LAKE -Joyce A. Hamilton, 75, passed away July 23, 2009. Mrs. Hamilton was born and raised in Akron, the daughter of Hershel and Wildred Boone Tate, and had resided in Silver Lake for 38 years, moving there from Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1951 and graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in primary education where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She had taught elementary school in Akron, was owner of West Snack Company in Cuyahoga Falls and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
Joyce was a kind, caring, considerate woman who put everyone's needs before hers. She always was smiling and making people feel warm and welcome and comfortable. She enjoyed reading, travel and playing bridge.
Preceded in death by her husband, Philip, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Judy of Silver Lake; daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Dante Sabatucci of Silver Lake and Dawn and Matt Ward of Washington Court House and grandchildren, Alex and Elise Hamilton, Dante Jr., Marissa, Isabella and Ava Sabatucci and Katherine and Madeline Ward.
