CUYAHOGA FALLS - Judith Satyra (Snively) King died peacefully on October 16, 2011. She passed away peacefully and calmly early Sunday after her husband and two daughters said their goodbyes by her hospital bedside the evening before. Mrs. King was bedridden for several years with genetic peripheral neuropathy and finally was overtaken by severe infections. She died at the age of 71 years, mourned by her husband Gerry and daughters, Teresa and Karen who all lived together.
She was born January 24, 1940 in Loudonville, Ohio to Mary and Guy Snively. She went to the Loudonville schools and was active in several organizations including the Girl Scouts and Loudonville High School newspaper. She was graduated from the Akron General School of Nursing and nursed for several years at Akron General. In 1963 she married Gerald (Gerry) King in Cuyahoga Falls and became a member of the now Grandview United Methodist Church. This marriage was blessed with two girls, Teresa and Karen. Judy was an active supporter and member of the girl scouts, the local ARC, the Special Olympics, and the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club.
Her favorite color was green and favorite flower the peace rose. She loved to decorate the rooms of our home as well as the yard. In her younger years she made many craft decorations. Her first devotion, however, was to raising her special daughters, Teresa and Karen. Other survivors include a brother, Robert Snively and sister Mary (Snively) Stacy, both of Loudonville.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, one hour prior to a 4:00 pm Funeral Service at the funeral home, Rev. James B. Wolf officiating.
